The Greater New York Dental Meeting is off to a great start this week. If you haven’t been to one of these meetings, they are a great way to see all the new products and latest technologies in the dental industry. They are also a great way to earn CE credit and learn from leaders in the dental field. If you weren’t able to make it to New York this week, here are some of the things you may have missed.
Dr. Joe Blaes presented a half-day session on amazing new products for 2012. Products on his 2012 watch list are: TAP, Easyshade Compact (Vident), Azenic Disposable Handpieces, Palodent Plus (Dentsply), Componeer (Coltène/Whaledent), Orabloc (Pierrel), Bite Tech, Scotchbond Universal (3M), SonicFill (Kerr), PerioShield (Sunstar), Biodentine (Septodont), GrandioSO (VOCO) and Dr. QuickLook.
Our own Jana Berghoff and Mary Horvath also covered the newest technologies to join the Patterson Technology suite as well as how to find the hidden revenue in your practice by making sure you are utilizing the technology you have to its fullest potential. Their sessions included overviews of Eaglesoft (version 16, on the iPad, and MoneyFinder), CAESY Cloud and ShowCase, and PattLock.
Dr. Armen Mirzayan walked participants through integrating 3D digital technologies into their dental practice. Attendees were able to see firsthand all of the possibilities when CAD/CAM and 3D imaging are used.
Tomorrow, Dr. Richard A. Sousa has a great presentation on digital radiography and how it is a must-have for every dental practice. He covers the clinical, marketing and economic benefits as well as some of the newest developments including Schick WiFi and Schick AimRight.
Obviously, we can’t cover all of the great tips from the sessions at the Greater New York Dental meeting in a blog, but if you would like more details your local branch can bring you up to speed.
