I have the pleasure of talking to and training dental practices across the western United States. Every practice has their own rhythm and their own style of doing things. That’s one of the reasons I really love Eaglesoft. Eaglesoft is so customizable and fits perfectly with the flow of a practice. Here’s a quick tip on using the account ledger in Eaglesoft 16.
Have you tried sorting and filtering your account ledgers in Eaglesoft 16? This awesome new feature allows you to quickly and easily find the exact transaction you are looking for! To sort by a column, click on the column header. For example, if you want to sort by family member, click on the Patient header at the top of the column and each family member’s line items will be grouped together. Once sorted, an arrow will appear in the upper right-hand corner on the column heading. Click on the arrow and select an option from the drop-down list. If you want to see only transactions for a certain family member, select that person’s name and voilà – your account ledger is now filtered. You can sort all columns in the account ledger, so try sorting by tooth number, description or payment type rather than scrolling through your ledger to find what you are looking for. To remove the filter, click on that same arrow and choose All.
I encourage you to play around with your software and see if using this feature could help your practice.
