Here at Patterson Dental, we strive to bring the latest technologies to you in order to help you more efficiently run your dental practice. Technology can help you manage your practice’s social media efforts as well. There are several free tools that can help you monitor your dental practice’s online reputation, schedule posts and listen to your patients.
Tools like Google Alerts and Google Reader can help to monitor your online reputation. By setting up alerts for your name and your dental practice’s name, you can be notified when either shows up on the web. Knowing what people are saying about you or your practice can help you address concerns or potential issues before they become a crisis.
As I mentioned yesterday, it is essential to build a relationship with your patients rather than just market to them through social media channels. What better way to do that than by listening and adding value to the conversations of your patients? Tools like Hootsuite and Tweetdeck can help you listen to the conversations your patients are having or follow along with colleagues at an event even if you can’t be there in person. Hootsuite and Tweetdeck also let you schedule posts when you can’t be online.
There are many more technologies, both free and paid, that can help you manage your dental practice’s social media efforts. These are just a few of my favorites.
