Carla Wicks began her career in dentistry in 1981. She became an RDH in 1991 and currently holds licensure in Texas and Colorado. She has worked in general and perio practices as a receptionist, office manager, dental assistant and dental instructor (both assisting and hygiene). She has also held a civil service position for the U.S. Army and been a liaison for a dental insurance company, director of a dental assisting school and territory rep for MIS Implants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Carla has published in two dental periodicals, founded two dental service companies offering insurance submittal and consulting, and invented the Magni-Mirror dental instrument, handling marketing, sales and distribution. A BLS instructor for the American Heart Association, she has testified before the Texas Senate on multiple occasions.
