Did you know that nearly 20 percent of children ages 4 and 5 have tooth decay, and that 50 percent develop tooth decay by the third grade, and 86 percent by age 17? Preventing tooth decay begins with good oral health habits such as regular brushing and flossing. Sadly, many children from at-risk families struggling for basic necessities lack the resources for oral care items essential for a healthy smile. Toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss, items that many of us take for granted, are small luxuries that they cannot afford.
Crest, Oral-B, and Patterson Dental have teamed up with National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy to help give at-risk children the tools they need for a healthy smile through the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive! Taking place during National Children’s Dental Health Month, the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive is designed to raise awareness of the importance of oral health and collect toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss for children in need.
For every three Kid’s Bundles purchased in February through Patterson Dental, Crest and Oral-B will donate one bundle to the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive!
