It’s easy to get behind Oral Health America’s mission. The Chicago-based non-profit aims to change lives by connecting communities with resources to increase access to care, education and advocacy for all Americans, especially those most vulnerable.
That’s why Patterson Dental has supported Oral Health America (OHA) and its initiatives, some of which you’ll see in more detail below. By connecting communities with the care, education and advocacy they need, OHA changes the lives of generations to come.
Year in and year out, OHA strives to improve the oral health, and overall health, of Americans. The new year is an especially important time to remember the good work OHA does, as it’s when OHA’s annual gala serves as the signature event of the Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting every February.
This year’s is the 24th Annual Oral Health America Gala and Benefit. It’s scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, at the historic Palmer House Hotel. The memorable night serves as an industry networking event while calling attention to OHA’s programming.
Among the programs Patterson proudly supports as an OHA sponsor:
Smiles Across America – funding for school-based prevention programs across the nation.
Wisdom Tooth Project – works to improve the lives of older adults.
NSTEP – a program designed to prevent people, specifically young people, from starting to use spit and smokeless tobacco and that aims to help users quit.
Campaign for Oral Health Equity – communications initiatives and events that help prioritize mouth health alongside other health considerations.
If you’re going to the Chicago Midwinter meeting, you won’t want to miss this inspirational evening. Learn more about the event here or visit oralhealthamerica.org to discover other ways to get involved with OHA.
