Holiday season is upon us. Since it isn’t the best time of the year to launch brand new marketing efforts, it is a good time of the year to prepare for future marketing. Here are five things you can do to prepare for your marketing for the
New Year.
1. Make your plan
Yes! Plan out which marketing efforts you want to implement in the New Year. Make sure it is affordable (Jameson recommends 4-6% of your previous 12 months’ collections) and that you have the resources and time to implement effectively. The more prepared you are for the New Year, the more effective your plan will be.
2. Update your website
Make sure your website is updated and timely. Have the team review their bios. Are your services accurate? Make sure all new technology has been included in your site. Take any new team member photos.
3. Get your social media into shape
Designate a social media champion if you haven’t already. Allow this team member to facilitate team meetings to garner new social media ideas. Go ahead and plan your social media storyboard for January so you are ready when January hits. If you’re looking for tips or information about social media, check out these posts on Off The Cusp.
4. Decide on a marketing campaign for January
January is a time where self-improvement is at the forefront of patients’ minds. Their insurance has renewed; they are motivated and ready. What is your offer? Tooth whitening, smile makeovers and having healthy gums and teeth are great subjects. Any marketing campaign you wish to promote needs to be met with five to seven touches for your clients. Include email, in-office signage, social media posts, website, letter, postcard, verbal skills and so on. Have everything ready to be executed come January 15!
5. Gather email addresses
Make the most of your patient appointment reminder system by having as many email addresses as possible.
Good planning sets you and your team up for marketing success. So use this time wisely!
